Wallpaper (also desktop picture and desktop background) is an image used as a background on a computer screen, usually for the desktop of a graphical user interface. “Wallpaper” is the term used in Microsoft Windows before Windows Vista (where it is called the Desktop “Background”), while Mac OS X calls it a “desktop picture” (previously, the term desktop pattern was used to refer to a small pattern that was repeated to fill the screen).”

Greetings fellow Achaians,
A simple query:
Is anyone aware of any native OS X Pic Micro controller programming tools for basic stamp/PStamp?
I am looking to use a usb->serial adaptor for a parallax pic burner, and would like to use my powerbook for the programming.
Ive come across two linux tools for pic burning:
bstamp and ptoke, however I cant seem to find any information on OS X compatibility.
Just for further elucidation, im looking to make a custom hardware interface for max/MSP & PD, (similar to http://music.calarts.edu/~tehn/(tehn)mlr.mp4 / http://nnnnnnnn.org/index.php?n=0001) and most artists ive spoken to have programmed midi/basicstamp on a older PC, and then have used it with max/MSP on OS X. Unfortunately I dont have an older PC at all, and would like to keep it all OS X.
Thanks,
-dok
